WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines
Who is the course for?
An in-depth take on wines of the world for candidates seeking to reach an advanced level. For wine enthusiasts and industry professionals.
Course programme
A 32.5 hour course with more Thant 60 international wines tasted. It provides you with a theoretical and practical approach to the world of wine allowing you to:
- Understand the key factors in the production of wine: location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling.
- Understand how these key factors influence the key characteristics of the principal still, sparkling and fortified wines of the world.
- Describe wines characteristics and evaluate their quality, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT).
Evaluations and certifications
Unit 1 is a 2 hours closed-book theory examination that includes 50 multiple choice questions and 4 short answer questions.
Unit 2 is a 30 minutes closed-book tasting examination where you need to describe with precision 1 white wine and 1 red wine.
Once you will have passed the examination, you will receive an official WSET® Level 3 certificate and lapel pin.
Course requirement
WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines or equivalent knowledge is recommended. Contact us for a self-evaluation.
