Who is the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines course for?

This intermediate-level wine course is for people who already have some basic knowledge, whether from the WSET® Level 1 course or similar. 

A comprehensive and accessible format, ideal for consolidating your knowledge and gaining a better understanding of wines from around the world.

WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines program

This WSET® Level 2 wine course, lasting 18 hours with tastings of around 40 wines from around the world, is led by a WSET®-certified specialist.

You will study the main local and international grape varieties, major wine regions, natural and human factors influencing the style and quality of a wine, and the WSET® sensory analysis method. You will develop a more precise vocabulary, learn to compare wines with each other, and consolidate your skills in analyzing, understanding, and describing styles from around the world.

Assessment & Certification

The WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines consists of a closed-book exam comprising 50 multiple-choice questions. Once you have passed, you will receive the official WSET® Level 2 certificate, which is recognized internationally.

This WSET® Level 2 wine qualification is an essential step before progressing to WSET® Level 3, the advanced level of the course.
