Who is the course for?

A wines of the world discovery for candidates looking to acquire an intermediate level. For wine enthusiasts and industry professionals.

Course programme

An 18 hours course with more than 40 international wines tasted. It provides you with a theoretical and practical approach to the world of wine allowing you to:

  • identify main wine grape varieties, wine growing regions and wine styles.
  • understand factors that influence style and quality of wines.
  • know how to describe any wine with confidence following a professional and systematic approach to tasting.

Evaluations and certifications

A 1 hour closed-book examination including 50 multiple choice questions.
Once you will have passed the examination, you will receive an official WSET® Level 1 certificate and lapel pin. You will also be allowed to use the corresponding WSET® certification logo.
