WSET® Level 1 Award in Spirits
Who is the course for?
A beginner’s introduction to spirits, for those starting out in the industry or interested in spirits.
Course programme
This 6-hour introductory spirits course, taught by a WSET®certified specialist, will give you a hands-on approach to the world of spirits.
You’ll discover the world’s great types and styles of spirits through appearance, nose and palate, while developing the basic skills needed to accurately describe a spirit.
How is the course held?
You will receive a study book at the beginning of the course that will cover all topics of the day including a systematic approach to tasting and self-assessment exercices.
Evaluations and certifications
A 45 minutes closed-book examination including 30 multiple choice questions.
Once you will have passed the examination, you will receive an official WSET® Level 1 in Spirits certificate and lapel pin.
